About the programme
The Research Doctorate in “Advanced Sciences and Technologies in Rehabilitation Medicine and Sports” is opened to physicians, allied health professions and motor scientists, lasts three years and has the internationalization of didactics as peculiar characteristic.
The educational program is going to be taken in English and Italian by Physician, Biomedical Engineers, Motor Scientists and Allied Health Professions, all of them opinion leaders in the area.
The ASTRM PhD supports the foundation of Spin-off and Start-up companies through office areas and support services, information and support in funding the company and Institutional link with professors and research groups, facilitating students’ career and increasing the rehabilitation impact on daily life.
There will also be facilitation to receive foreign graduate people from the European Community and from countries outside the European Community in order to foster and to conform the scientific knowledge and exchange, on Rehabilitation field and Sport.
Such guidelines are given for preparing PhD in innovative tools and technologies in order to be competitive both in Europe and in the World.
The treated topics will deal with technological innovations in Rehabilitation therapy and evaluation, which are essential for the recovery of people with disability, and in Sport activities related or not to the world of Rehabilitation
BRIEF OUTLINE OF PROGRAM
The following thematic areas will be studied in detail:
Diagnostic Area: Functional MRI; Muscular Evaluation, sEMG, Electrodiagnosis, Motion Analysis, stabilometric and baropodometric evaluation, hardening work, outcome measurements.
Therapeutic Area: Physical therapy, overactivity syndrome treatment; ultrasound guided intrarticular injection; orthosis and prosthetics; occupational therapy.
Assistive Technology Area: Domotics, Industrial Medicine.
Sport: advances in Sports activity , training technique
